TESTIMONIALS / CLIENTS

Bonnie Rubinstein has created a fabulous new work of art for the recently renovated Aquatic Invasive Species Laboratory at the University of Minnesota. Her large glass mural, 'Living Waters', represents the healthy lakes, rivers and streams that are the mission of the laboratory. Using multi colored and bubbled fused-glass she helps us imagine a dynamic sense of flowing water in a dreamlike composition.

Working with Ms. Rubinstein was exciting. Her grasp of the concept the University of Minnesota was striving for in this work of art was very insightful. She was collaborative in working with the building occupants and the university public art curator, bringing us along in her creative process. Her mural adds energy to the work conducted in the lab, and brings new luster to their programs.

I have worked with Bonnie for several years now. She is a very talented artist and wonderful person. I am continually amazed and impressed with the wide range, of size, variety and complexity of the glass art that she produces. Most recently she provide numerous glass sculptures for a home that I had on the Homes by Architects Tour. I feel that her work was a perfect compliment to the architectural design of this home. I can only give her my highest recommendation!

I have had the great joy of commissioning Bonnie Rubinstein for a variety of art and hospital projects. Her glass art work is inspiring and her unique techniques of layering and kiln firing provides work that is durable and magical. She is a flexible problem solver finding great secured installation methodologies for art in high traffic public spaces. I enthusiastically recommend her!

Bonnie makes extremely creative, unique, and stunning work. She saw our vision, and made it happen. We have had consistent guest compliments at all of our People's Organic Restaurants, and are asked who made the chandeliers and sconces and where to find them.

Bonnie had an amazing vision for a large glass sculpture to serve as a focal point in our entry living room.  It is that piece that everyone notices in amazement in our home.  She worked not only to create the glass, but also the absolutely perfect base and lighting for it.  We are honored to have a piece of her work in our home.

Bonnie's work is moving. There is a depth to Bonnie's work that spans beyond the textured, layered qualities of her medium. The meditative, organic shapes of her colored glass evoke a sense of calm, peace and healing for our patients, families, visitors and staff at Children's Hospitals.

We love the glass piece you created for Hennepin County Medical Center’s Comprehensive Cancer Center expansion.  Patients coping with cancer deal with a tremendous amount of stress and anxiety throughout their personal journey.  We wanted to create a beautiful space for them that could help mitigate that stress and help them feel supported and special.  Your piece was exactly what we were hoping for:  beautiful, calming, and rooted in nature… with a touch of special sparkle.  It is truly a stunning showpiece that greets patients as they first enter the expansion space.  We are grateful to have talented artists like you in our local community from which to draw upon to help support our patients.  Thank you!

"Working with Bonnie to customize a site specific sculpture was an absolute pleasure. Her architectural background really played a key role in the design and installation elements when working with architects for our building. She was able to coordinate the installation, which allowed for a  very timely install considering the prime location for this piece and sensitivity to our scheduling.  Bonnie's  design illuminates positive energy, and really enhances our healing environment, which was our intention for this piece. It's wonderful seeing how many patients, staff, and community members stop and take in its beauty while entering Westfields Hospital & Clinic."

Chelsea Kelly, Healing Arts Coordinator, Westfields Hospital & Clinic

When my husband and I were renovating our home, we worked with Bonnie to help us bring color and uniqueness to our living room and bathroom.  Bonnie listened to us and provided some great suggestions that we never would have thought of.  Bonnie's creativity and knowledge of both art and installation provided us with a lit countertop and sink that never ceases to bring amazing responses from our guests. Our 4 living/dining room sconces add elegance and playful beauty. Bonnie provided us with functional art that matches our lifestyle and love of our home.  Her passion for her work comes out in every piece she created for us!
